Introduction

VCBet is pleased to offer a full US Horseracing service including betting on most of the major US horseracing tracks, live pictures from the track direct to your PC, comprehensive and fully updated results and all the latest pool information.

If you are unfamiliar with US Horseracing or just need a re-cap, we have put together a guide to everything you need to know:

1) Bets on all US races go directly into the relevant host track pool. Your bet will be placed in US dollars (there is a minimum of $2 per bet). We will always convert your stake and show you how much you are betting in your normal currency. Your stakes and any winnings from US racing bets will always be shown in both US dollars and your normal currency of choice within your account statement.

2) All bets will need to be submitted AND confirmed by you. Any bets that are not accepted by the individual race pool will NOT stand.

3) US Races do not have a designated “off” time as in the UK. Instead each meeting has a series of race numbers e.g Race 1, Race 2 etc. As a guide we will publish a minutes to post (MTP) indicating how long until each race is due to start. This information is a guide only, we advise that you always place your bets in good time, once the host track pool is closed, we will no longer accept any bets.

4) All bets will be settled with the returns declared by the US tracks and will be treated as the official result. All odds and potential dividends displayed on VCBet before the event are provided directly from the host track and are as a guide only.

US Horse Racing Rules

All bets will be placed directly into the host track pool. Therefore VC Bet will only accept bet types that are made available by the relevant track and for which the appropriate betting pool has been opened.

Stakes on any race declared a “No Contest” by the relevant US track will be refunded. All monies staked on races that are scratched (void) will be returned in full.

Known scratched selections (non-runners) cannot be chosen. Stakes on certain pool bet types where the amount of runners in a race falls below the minimum required for each pool type will be refunded e.g. Trifecta bets will be refunded if the number of runners fall below 3.

Stakes are refunded on Win, Place and Show bets where the selection(s) is scratched (declared a non-runner).

Stakes are refunded on Exactas, Quinellas, Trifectas, Superfectas and Daily Doubles that include a scratched selection. In boxed/combination bets on these types, refunds are made on all elements incorporating the scratched selection(s) with bets remaining valid on elements of multiple bets devoid of scratched selection(s).

Stakes are refunded on Pick 3 bet types if all three Pick Three races are cancelled or declared "no contest”. If one or two of the Pick Three races are cancelled or declared "no contest," the Pick Three pool will remain valid.

Should a betting interest in any of the Pick 4, Pick 6 or Pick 9 races be scratched, the actual favourite, as evidenced by total amounts wagered in the Win pool shall be substituted for the scratched In the event that the Win pool total for two or more favourites is identical, the substitute selection shall be the betting interest with the lowest program number.

All dividends from the track are returned to a $2 unit.

All single bets on US Racing with VC Bet are subject to a minimum $2 dollar (US) stake (and then in $1 dollar (US) increments thereafter). The Stake must be in whole US dollars.

Multiple bets are subject to different minimum stakes and will be displayed on the relevant coupon when placing your bet.

Bets are only accepted while the Pool is still open and active.

The Maximum stake per bet must not exceed US $10,000 unit stake or US $50,000 total stake.

US Racing pool bets cannot be mixed with any other event.

Once a bet has been placed into the racetrack’s pool your bet will stand. It cannot be cancelled or amended.

Bets need to be confirmed as being accepted into the pool to be valid.

The minimum number of opportunities must be selected per US Bet type for the bet to be valid e.g. a valid Daily Double bet must contain at least one selection from both races (as specified by the host track pool).

Payment on first past the post and disqualified winners does not apply to US Horse races.

The result declared by the US host track will be deemed the official result and bets will be settled using the dividend declared.

Saddle cloth colours will be displayed on the coupons for guidance only and on occasion are subject to change.

Coupled and mutuel fields selections in US Racing are treated as a single wagering entry in ALL pools. Should a horse, which is a coupled entry or mutuel field, be officially withdrawn or scratched, the remaining horse(s) in that coupled entry or mutuel field will remain valid betting interests.

On bets placed into the US host track pool, returns to customers will not be capped or limited.

The exchange rate used at the time the bet is captured will be used for the settlement of any returns.

Your Bets

Once you confirm your bet online, you will be given a transaction number on your bet confirmation slip. This transaction number acts as your bet reference and will appear on your online statement. Any disputes over bets will take this transaction number as reference.

Each US racing bet involves a third party 'pool' of staked money which in turn provides dividends for winning bets. As such all US racing bets will stand as placed and cannot be voided once confirmed.
